Clear Blue Pond

Organica's "Clear Blue" is a biologically enhanced colorant specifically designed to enhance water conditions and improve clarity. This multi-faceted formulation utilizes a synergistic blend of ingredients to bring pond / lake water back into ecological equilibrium. The product is comprised of naturally occurring, beneficial microorganisms, an effective quantity of water - soluble colorant and a complex microbial growth stimulant.

The water - soluble colorant within the formulation drastically reduces the penetration of sunlight into the water column and provides a natural aesthetic quality to natural bodies of water.

The primary active ingredient is the microbial portion of the formulation. Clear Blue utilizes a highly concentrated, biologically diverse microbial system to remove organic pollutants and excess nutrients from the water. Unbalanced aquatic ecosystems are primarily the result of excess nutrients in the water column, particularly phosphorous and nitrogen. Clear Blue incorporates a number of microbial strains, which utilize phosphorous and other nutrients to satiate their metabolic functions. The microorganisms consume the nutrients thereby removing them from the unbalanced ecosystem.

The microbial portion will also serve to expedite the biodegradation of the excess organic sludge and muck, which accumulates at the bottom of ponds and lakes. Clear Blue introduces additional microbial strains into the aquatic environment, which have an affinity for biodegrading these types of complex organic compounds.

In order for any microbial-based formulation to perform efficiently in an aquatic environment there must be rapid microbial establishment. Often times these are hostile environments and the microorganisms have difficulty proliferating. The most critical stage in this process occurs within 48 hours of inoculation. To overcome this impediment, the Clear Blue formulation includes a unique microbial growth stimulant designed specifically for aquatic environments. This naturally derived stimulant promotes rapid microbial establishment, which enables the microbial component to attain the optimal level required to provide maximum efficacy.

Summarily Organica's patented Clear Blue formula permits the applicator to simultaneously inoculate natural bodies of water with the three essential components required to effectively bring unbalanced aquatic environments back into ecological equilibrium.

In most cases, poor water quality is the result of an overload of organic nutrients, primarily excess nitrogen and phosphorous. This nutrient buildup serves as a food supply for undesirable plant growth and creates an unbalanced ecosystem. Furthermore it contains select microbial strains, which utilize the excess nitrates and phosphates to satiate their metabolic functions. When the excess organic load is removed the end result is improved water clarity, reduced organic sediment and suspended particulate matter, a reduction of foul odors and an overall improvement in water quality.

Organica Pond Clarifier works best when water temperatures are between 50 - 100 degrees F. It is also essential to provide adequate mechanical aeration to support the establishment of the microbial populations. We recommend bottom aeration utilizing a diffused air system. Surface aeration is helpful but is often not enough. If mechanical aeration is not feasible Organica has developed a unique Biochemical Oxygen Release System, which will provide a continuous source of slow release oxygen. When applied in conjunction with Pond Clarifier it increases the dissolved oxygen levels in the water allowing the microbial populations to flourish and start the biological processes. Organica Pond Clarifier in conjunction with either mechanical aeration or the Biochemical Oxygen Release System will typically clear up water in 2 - 4 weeks.

POND CLARIFIER DOSING

Apply 4 - 6 lbs./ of product per acre / foot of water as a shock dose when water temperature reaches 50 degrees F.
Thereafter apply 2 lbs. of product per acre / foot of water as a maintenance dose every 4 weeks.
If pond / lake is extremely dirty prior to initial application occurs, apply the shock dose at 2 - 4 week intervals until there is an improvement in water clarity then revert to monthly maintenance dose.

BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN RELEASE SYSTEM DOSING

Apply 10 lbs. per acre / foot of water prior to application of pond clarifier. Apply monthly or until pond clarifier has improved water clarity.
This product will drive the pH of the water alkaline. Test pH of water prior to application process. If the water pH is over 8.5 at the onset of product application, use 1 lb. per acre / foot rate and monitor pH before reapplying.
