Intervale Compost Products is an enterprise program of the Intervale Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes land stewardship and local organic farming. Origianally started as a way of composting the kitchen waste from the local hospital it now collects and distributes all the organic waste produced in the greater Burlington and Chittenten County area of Vermont, saving acres of landfill space and retreiving millions of tons of organic waste that used to get thrown away. Every city and town in the world should have a place like this. Even the Christmas trees and wreaths gets returned to the community as rich compost for gardening and lawn work.
Expanding on their line of excellent compost, they now mix and distribute a quality line of - germination mix for starting seedling and heavy soil improvement and potting soils for making up house plant fertilizer, hanging baskets and any other use you can find for it. these are terrific products and I guarantee you will like them and your plants will like them even more!
