Green Mountain Compost Products

Same company, even better product. The new facility is all under cover and energy efficient. This means that moisture control and processing are improved so much that they're saving 75% of the energy they used to use at the old facility and the product is dryer and lower in weight making shipping costs a whole lot less than before. All run off from the facitlity is collected and recycled removing the possibility of ground water contamination and preserves any the nutrients that often run off during the composting process. Green Mountain Compost is now truly a state of the art facility making some of the best compost and potting soils you can buy.

How to Use Your Compost

  • Lawns
    Lawns can look great without chemicals. Aerate your lawns, then apply 1/4-1/2 inches Compost and gently rake into existing soil. Reseed and water as usual.
  • Vegetable Gardens
    Apply 1-3 inches of Compost and rototill or mix into existing soil. Or just add it to the rows where the crops will grow and topdress throughout the season.
  • Fall Garden Cover Crop
    Spread 1-3 inches of Compost and seed cover crop in the fall to protect exposed soil. Incorporate the cover crop into the soil and proceed with gardening as usual.
