Hydroponic Systems for Larger Spaces

Those of you who've been shopping here since the beginning know the commitment we've always made to gardening in the good earth. Worry not. We're still committed. However, many of the attributes of hydroponics cannot be overlooked. As improvements in technology and knowledge of the subject has grown over the years it can't be denied that hydroponics can be a very good solution to growing lots of vegetables or anything else you like in a very small space with much less effort and mess than with soil. Some hydroponic systems even use soil and we will be introducing some of them soon as well. We offer small kits for in the house type growing and now these larger kits for people who have a little more space. All of these larger units are shipped truck freight which is not included in the price here or in the shopping cart. Residential delivery by truck is available and commercial deliveries are best. You must call us to arrange freight and payment for the freight. You can order the kits with the "Add to Cart" links but no charges will be applied until we hear from you by phone. Ebb & Gro Multi-Pot System

The name of this hydroponic kit is adapted from the generic word for these kits-"Ebb and Flo", which just means it fills up the pots and drains down automatically as needed so the liquid ebbs and flows from the pots.

This versatile 12-site Ebb & Gro System allows different size and shape configurations to fit gardeners exact growing needs. For easy set-up, the interchangeable two-gallon grow pots connect to the controller unit and the controller unit that controls the timing of the fill and drain cycle connects to the 55-gallon reservoir. The Ebb and Flow System floods and drains planters several times a day. This Ebb and Gro System includes necessary tubing, hyhdroton growing medium and pumps, features a built-in timer. All the components fit into the reservoir for convenient transportation and storage. An optional six-site Ebb & Gro expansion kit is also available just below this cell.

Hydroton is a clay aggregate manufactured exclusively at high-temperature kilns in Germany and is best suited for growing larger plants, like tomatoes, peppers, and even some fruit trees. It holds water extremely well and transmits it effectively to the plant roots. The pellets are uniform in size and have an attractive, natural appearance. Hydroton is a chemically inert medium with a neutral pH, and is reusable, clean and odorless. 50 liter bag. 1 gallon equals 3.785 liters.
  • You will need two bags of this for the kit and one bag for the add on portion of the kit.
  • Buy them with the kit so it can go on the pallet with the kit. Not sold separately as a regular stock item.

The PowerGrower Eco Controller Kit

The PowerGrower Eco Controller Kit is an eight-chamber system using porous drip rings to efficiently deliver oxygenated nutrient solution to the root zones of plants. This versatile growing system includes eight 5.7-gallon reservoirs with three-gallon growing chambers, pumping columns and drip rings, two drain level tubes, a dual diaphragm air pump, grommets, one 17-gallon master reservoir and controller with float valve, eight tees, three elbows, blue tubing, and Flora nutrients and hydroton growing media. Pretty much everything to get started.

The really nice feature of this hydroponic kit is how attractive it is. You could have it in the lobby of a hotel, bay window area, sun porch or any public place.
