This means that moisture control and processing are improved so much that they're saving 75% of the energy they used to use at the old facility and the product is dryer and lower in weight making shipping costs a whole lot less than before. Any run off from the facility is collected and recycled removing the possibility of ground water contamination and preserves all the nutrients that often run off during the composting process. Green Mountain Compost is now truly a state of the art facility making some of the best compost and potting soils you can buy.
