The Harvest Collection™ starts it’s life in the form of an annually renewable resource such as corn, wheat or rice.
These readily available crops are harvested and made into bio-based resin pellets through a polymerization process. The resin is then made into useful, sanitary single-use foodservice items.
The compostable products within the Harvest Collection™ line look and feel just like traditional top-of-the-line plastic items you have probably been buying for a long time now, but have the added benefit of being produced from annually renewable resources. Choose from a wide selection of biodegradable food service products including plates, serving bowls, hinged take out containers.
Once the product is used in a foodservice application, it is intended to be disposed of in a commercially run composting facility where it will turn into usefull rich compost within 60 - 180 days.
If carelessly discarded or mistakenly thrown into the trash it will break down there as well. It will take a little longer in the abscense of heat and microbes like those found in compost piles.
